Gas Safety Monitoring

Natural gas when burnt produces potential harmful gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) which can be hazardous to operators in addition to the risk of fire. Gas safety controls combine to monitor the CO or O2 levels and trigger an alarm when levels reach a pre-determined point. These systems can be employed in commercial kitchens, laboratories, boiler houses, kilns and many others.

Gas interlocks provide a safety feature for the gas installation by requiring operator input for the acceptance of gas into the system from the gas solenoid valve. They can also trip the solenoid valve to isolate the gas supply in the event of a monitored parameter being out of set limits.

Combining gas interlocks with the appropriate sensors and isolating valves provides effective systems for the safe management of the gas supply. Emergency knock off buttons can be incorporated into the devices in addition to key switches to restrict control to authorised users only.

Multi service controllers can manage the supply of electricity and water in addition to gas to provide complete control of the isolation of all 3 services in the event of a problem either automatically or through direct operator involvement.

In addition to the gas controls we also supply suitably rated gas pressure regulators or gas governors with the solenoid valves and offer the facility for complete gas train specification, design and build ready to install.
