Pitot Tube Flow Measurement

The pitot tube principle employs two pipes to convey fluid pressure to the sensing element in such a way that the pressure differential between the two is proportional to flow velocity. The actual flow rate can be calculated based on the media details and pipe size. This method is ideal for measuring the flow of wet compressed air at the compressor outlet for Free Air Delivery (FAD) when evaluating compressor efficiency.
