Launched in mid 2018, the S 230 and S 231 sensors employ a brand new dual sensor element that combines the best qualities of two different measuring technologies to deliver excellent accuracy over an exceptionally wide range of measurement. Both models offer 4-20mA AND Modbus RTU communication as standard, enabling them to interface to traditional analogue or modern digital control systems. The compact design also has been certified in compliance with ATEX and IECEx for installation in potentially hazardous areas.
S 230 has a measuring range of -100 to +20degC and a maximum working pressure of 1.5MPa.
S 231 has a measuring range of -50 to +20degC and a maximum working pressure of 35MPa.
With the hazardous area certification, these sensors can be installed in almost any industrial environment and because of the wide measuring range, remove the need for high and low range sensors. The integrated Modbus RTU communication simplifies interfacing to modern plant control systems and delivers temperature in addition to dew point measurement from the same source.
