Mass Flow Measurement for Steam
The S 430 pitot tube flowmeter has found wide acceptance for its immunity to contamination when used on wet gases and since the unit is capable for process temperatures up to 200°C, a specific steam variant was the logical development. Extensive testing resulted in a mass flow meter for steam up to 16bar and pipe sizes up to DN300, capable of measuring in lbs/hr, kg/hr or t/hr with either analogue 4-20mA or digital Modbus RTU communications.
Unlike other steam measuring solutions, the S 430 steam flow meter does not require pipes to be cut so that instruments can be mounted between flanges. The insertion design saves considerable time and money as the unit can be mounted through a G¾”socket or boss that may already be in existence on the pipe. Installing through a ball valve also allows simple and safe isolation of the steam so that the instrument can easily be removed for calibration.
The Bluetooth interface allows communication with the Android app for checking settings and taking live readings if the LCD display option is not chosen or accessible.
