We have a huge range of solenoid valves suitable for EN161 natural gas applications for boiler houses, furnaces, heat treatment, power generation etc. We can offer sizes from 1/4″ to 3″ screwed BSP and DN50 to DN400 flanged, auto reset or manual reset and pressure ranges from 250mbar to 5bar. Between 5 and 63bar, EN 16678 is the equivalent higher pressure standard to EN161 and we have valve options available up to 40bar. We can supply valves from Dungs, Elektrogas, Coster, Banico, Black Technigas, Kromschroder, Honeywell and other leading manufacturers.
Solenoid valves for natural gas are often aluminium due to the low operating pressure but we can also offer other materials where strength, pressure rating or corrosion resistance are more important. Stainless steel, carbon steel, cast iron, bronze and other materials are available.
In addition to EN161 and EN 16678 compliance, we can offer gas solenoid valves for hazardous area installation with ATEX Exn, Exme and Exd certifications to suit Zone 1 & 2 Category 2 & 3 locations.
In larger sized valves where the current consumption of a 3kW or 4kW coil is not acceptable we can offer alternatives of either electrohydraulic or air pilot operated valves. A common option at the larger sizes is fitting one or two position indication switches for verification of valve status to the control system. These are also available ATEX certified when required.
We can also supply suitably rated gas pressure regulators or gas governors with the solenoid valves and offer the facility for complete gas train specification, design and build ready to install.
