Filters for Compressed Air, Gas and Liquids

Filters protect pressure regulators and other valves from damage or reduced efficiency due to a build up of particle or liquid contaminants. Compressed air and gas pipes can convey rust scale, dirt and other particles from elsewhere in the systems and filter stages remove these from the gas, especially where the gas may then come into contact with product that must not be contaminated. Compressed air systems also require the removal of water from the air stream and this must be periodically bled from the filter bowl. Coalescent Filters are used as a second stage to remove finer contaminants down to 0.01 microns and must be protected by a coarser pre-filter to prevent premature failure.
